THE BLOC_
The Block is an artistic research endeavor that delves into and illustrates the diverse design elements, extending from the actual materials to the forms they assume, which alter the Palestinian landscape. In an effort to comprehend the tangible barriers, I strive to highlight some of the realities experienced by the native population. This work enables me to traverse the multiple dimensions of oppression embodied within the Block. The Block serves as a barricade, a gateway through tunnels, and a barbed wire enclosure. It signifies the densely populated gathering of Palestinians, entirely encircled by military forces and walls. Individuals residing in these circumstances must adapt to, and crucially, remain resolute in the face of, the incessant encroachment on their humanity, normalcy, and tranquility.Ib
